Christian Aid Event

May 15th 2010

It’s the passion and dedication of hundreds of thousands of people throughout the UK who give, act and pray every year that makes Christian Aid Week such an extraordinary stand against world poverty.

During Christian Aid Week this year a band of collectors from Radford Road Church has been knocking on doors in the Old Milverton Road area, Sydenham estate and part of Lillington collecting the red envelopes containing people’s donations.

The week culminated in the Mayor’s Challenge Walk around Victoria Park and the Pump Room Gardens. It was a beautiful day and the gallant band of walkers completed several laps of the figure of eight circuit accompanied by the Mayor, his consort and the Town Clerk
