Everyone enjoying their strawberries and cream whilst John Garrett played on his keyboard.

As it was the Women’s Final Day at Wimbledon today a Strawberry Tea was held at the Church.

A good crowd of people forsook their television screens (it was a foregone conclusion anyway and Serena did win easily!) and enjoyed a very happy afternoon eating home-made scones and fresh strawberries with lashings of cream.  John Garrett, a blind keyboard player, entertained everyone with delightful music. There was a Browsing stall, a Cake stall and a Raffle and the proceeds from the afternoon, totalling £220.20,  are for the upkeep of the  church.
