OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD AND GIFTS FOR THE NIGHT SHELTER
- Some of the many boxes
filled with goodies
Many thanks to all those who filled shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We have over 30 boxes to send and these will bring joy to many children who are living in extremely difficult circumstances in various areas of the world.
Many thanks too to the people who knit 28 scarves, 13 pairs of gloves, 43 hats, 3 pairs of socks and 1 set consisting of gloves, hat and scarf for the clients of the Night Shelter.
The Shelter is open for two nights every week in our Church Hall and so for five nights, many of these homeless people have to sleep outside.
As the winter temperatures plummet the garments you have knitted will give comfort and warmth to these homeless and vulnerable people.
The boxes and knitted garments were dedicated at a morning service on November 4th 2012 led by the Revd. James Church.
