THE RAINBOWS’ SLEEPOVER FEB 2013
There were 15 Rainbows from Radford Road and Dale Street Rainbows who took part in the Sleepover. The theme was ‘Winter’ so most of the afternoon was spent constructing a winter event out of cardboard boxes and plenty of paint. We had an igloo, sledges and a snowman plus plenty of paint on the floor and all over the Rainbows. We finished the day watching ‘Happy Feet’ with hot chocolate and marshmallows. A typical eskimo meal!!
We have learnt from experience that the girls and adults are exhausted after the event so it is always held during the first weekend of half term. The girls were very worried when, during the Morning Service, Revd. Andy Laird was talking about good and bad events and said that after the fun of the sleepover they would have to go to school on the Monday. Oh! The power of a minister!
