On Saturday May 9th the Christian Aid Walk took place in the centre of Leamington Spa. The weather was glorious and the walk was enjoyed by a small group of people. Malcol Hayes, our Chair, booked people in and we walked in a figure of 8 round Victoria Park, the Pump Room Gardens and then across the Parade to the beautiful Jephson Gardens.
Thanks to Julia, Hugh, Jean, Veronica and Marjorie who were the walkers from Radford Road Church.
Everyone who walked was sponsored by friends or colleagues and we hope lots of money has been raised for Christian Aid.

The Jephson Gardens were magnificent for our sponsored walk. The art structures are fascinating and there is an abundance of wild life. One walker spotted a pair of Canada geese with their two goslings; blue tits, great tits and greenfinch were feeding at the bird seed stations; there was an abundance of blackbirds, robins and pigeons! A swan was on her nest of straw on the island in the river and a delightful nuthatch was searching for insects and grubs in a wall behind one of the many benches in the Gardens.

Between May 10th and May 16th several people from Radford Road Church delivered envelopes and knocked on doors in various areas of the town asking people to donate to Christian Aid. Many thanks to Sue, Julia, Veronica, Hazel, James. Margaret S, Jean, Bridget and the Brownies, John and Marjorie for their efforts.

THE ROYAL NAVAL ASSOCIATION MALE VOICE CHOIR
.
On Saturday April 25th 2015 the two choirs gave a wonderful concert in aid of Radford Road Church Organ Fund. The church was packed and everyone enjoyed the magnificent singing.
The two Musical Directors, Margaret Height (Lillington Ladies’ Choir) and her son Stephen (The RNA Male Voice Choir) excelled and led their respective choirs through a variety of well known songs.
Julie Edwards accompanied both choirs and gave two solo items. She delighted the large audience with her wonderful abilities on the piano.
