The Women’s World Day of Prayer (WWDP) is an amazing event which takes place all round the world on the first Friday of March annually. It is a truly global phenomenon organised by Christian women through committees from the International Committee to the national committees then filtering to the many thousands of local committees representing women of all denominations of Christian churches worldwide. This year Leamington WWDP committee chose Radford Road Church to host this special international service written by the women of CUBA. The theme was: ‘Receive children, receive me.’ The Leamington WWDP Committee members presented the service, the Revd. Andy Laird preached, Ms Kate Gardener was the soloist accompanied on the organ by Mrs Margaret Height whilst the host church was responsible for welcoming the congregation and providing refreshments for everyone after the service.
Women from many churches in Leamington attended and enjoyed the afternoon of worshipping together.
