Our second Craft Fair was held today at Radford Road Church. The Hall was buzzing with activity from 9.00am onwards as the Stall holders arranged their crafts. There was a vast array of goods from our visiting craftspeople; hand knits, fabrics and cards, wood turning, ceramics, patchwork, hand-made soap, jewellery, cross stitch cards, sterling silver jewellery and photographic greetings cards. In addition the Church ran a cake stall, a garden produce stall, sold preserves, had a bulbs, boxes and bob sleigh stall, organised refreshments all day and had a tombola and raffle. The room was thronging with people when the doors opened at 11.00am and everyone enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere. Pictures of the church’s varied activities were shown on our large drop down screen and background music added to the atmosphere. Refreshments (bacon butties, pork baps, home-made soup and cream teas) were served at various times throughout the day by the catering team.

The Fair was a huge success and the money raised –  £1029.96 – will be used for the general upkeep of the church in the next 12 months. Many thanks to all those who helped with the planning and organisation of this event. It was a tremendous team effort!
