CRAFT FAIR
Saturday October 5th
11. 00am – 3pm
What a wonderful day we all enjoyed!
The Scouts and Explorer Scouts together with a few experienced helpers prepared the room by moving furniture, erecting tables, decorating stalls and carrying boxes of donated goods from the balcony to the appropriate stalls.
Eleven crafters arrived on Saturday morning to set out their wonderful arrays of hand-made products and together with the Church stalls of jams, cakes, gifts, a Pound Stall and a Raffle, the room looked splendidly festive.
Teams of people worked all day in the kitchen to serve bacon butties, pork baps, home-made soup and cream teas which were all absolutely delicious.
The Fair opened at 11 o’clock and throughout the day there was a splendid, friendly atmosphere which helped to make the day a huge success.
At the end of the afternoon a wonderful group of people helped in the clearing of the room, the dismantling of the stalls and the setting out of the furniture ready for the Sunday Service.
The wonderful sum of £1422.38 was raised in just 4 hours!
Well done everyone!
