JAMES, OUR URC MINISTER,
HAS RUN THE LONDON MARATHON!
On Sunday 24th April James ran the London Marathon. He was running in memory of Ashley Doughty, a young man from Lillington Free Church who died on Easter Day 2014 (20th April) after being treated over several months for a brain tumour.
The charity Cancer and Leukaemia in Children named after the late Sir Malcolm Sargent. (CLIC Sargent) supported Ashley throughout his illness and James is raising money to support this charity and its important work.
James completed the marathon in 4 hours 43 minutes and 2 seconds and was placed 25162 out of nearly 40,000 participants. Many congratulations, James, on a fantastic achievement.
You can still donate to CLIC Sargent. Cheques may be made payable to Cancer and Leukaemia in Children (CLIC Sargent) and sent to Revd. James Church c/o Radford Road Church, Radford Road, Leamington Spa CV31 1NF.
