The performance of the “Serenity” choir from South Wales was greatly enjoyed by the audience of nearly 200 people who came to Radford Road Church to hear this wonderful choir. The performers were vibrant, energetic and had an obvious love of music and of performing. There was a wide range of music from gospel to pop, classical to jazz  and songs from the shows.  Some arrangements had been specially written for the choir by Chris Andrews. Choir members performed solo items and a special performance of “The Flower Duet” from the opera Lakme by Delibes sung by Emma Height and her mother, Margaret, who is the organist at Radford Road Church, was one of the highlights of the evening. It was an outstanding musical evening and the infectious enjoyment of singing was relayed to the audience. Many thanks go to Patrick Steed, the Musical Director, Emma Height the Co-Director, Chris Andrews, the accompanist, Margaret, George and Stephen Height for arranging the evening so competently and to the whole choir for a magnificent evening.

A grand total of £1040 was raised for the Church Organ Fund. Thank you to all who helped to make the evening such a resounding success. We do hope that the choir will make a return visit.
