The 3 members of the worship band who managed to get to church despite the heavy snowfall and treacherous road conditions, played their musical instruments to accompany the songs. The congregation of members of the uniformed organisations, other children, parents and regular members joined in the singing with enthusiasm.
Songs, prayers and instructions on making the Christingle were projected on the screen.
There was a great atmosphere as all ages joined together to make the Christingles. All the Christingles were lit to represent Jesus, the light of the world.
The service was followed with refreshments including mulled fruit punch, tea, coffee and squash and mince pies and cakes.
The youngsters were all excited about the snow and at the end of the service they rushed outside to make snowballs under the watchful eyes of the uniformed organisation leaders.
