Harvest 2017

On September 24th 2017 the church celebrated Harvest. The Flower Team had decorated the church with beautiful floral arrangements enhanced with seasonal fruits and vegetables.

The service was led by the Revd. James Church and the Rainbows and Brownies were present along with our small group of children who attend Junior Church. The service began with the singing of All things Bright and Beautiful. James spoke of the harvests around the world. Other well known harvest songs followed including Think of a world without any flowers and Now thank we all our God,

The All Age message reflected on the miracle Jesus performed with the loaves and fishes and the children were given a picture to colour to remind them of the Biblical story.

The congregation brought gifts of tinned and packet food which were donated to the Leamington and Warwick Food Bank.

We received the following reply from the Food Bank:

Just an email to say thank you for the Harvest food and cash donation delivered to Warwick District Foodbank from Radford Road Church.  Please pass on our thanks to everyone who contributed.

The food will be given out by ourselves and the Salvation Army to local people in need during the next few months.

We are grateful for your support

Kind regards
