A QUILT OF HOPE IN A YEAR OF QUARANTINE

MADE FOR CHURCHES TOGETHER IN LEAMINGTON

We hope many people will participate in this exciting project which aims to record how people spent lockdown and the things that came out of the pandemic.

We are inviting you and your friends to take part and to make a square that will contribute to the making of a unique quilt.

It would be really great to have contributions from as many people as possible.

The idea is to use people’s creativity, words and feelings to capture some of the memories and experiences of lockdown by creating a small picture on a square of fabric. All the squares we are sent will be stitched together to create one large quilt that will be displayed for all to see.

Lenten Crosses at Lillington Parish Church

Do visit Lillington Parish Church during Lent 2021 if you are able.

Each day during the 40 days of Lent a new cross is being erected in the churchyard. The theme of the display is “From Lockdown to Life and Liberty”. Different organisations attached to the church and the parish are each taking responsibility for one of the crosses and decorating it with appropriate symbols.

Do visit the churchyard if you are able.

Here is a selection of some of the crosses on display.
